Gunny Australian Shepherd & Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Cincinnati, OH

Gunny is a gorgeous boy who came to us from a county shelter partner where his former owner had dumped him. Gunny is around a year old and is most likely an Aussie Shepherd/Cattle dog mix.

Gunny loves to play with his fellow canine friends and is wonderful with other dogs :o). However, Gunny’s herding heritage may mean he will do best in a cat-less home.

Gunny knows some basic commands, but with his off the chart intelligence, he is definitely the perfect candidate for additional training, as well as agility, Frisbee or maybe Flyball.

Gunny may have a lot of energy, but this sweet boy equally loves to spend time with his human friends and relishes his petting time with the volunteers.

Gunny has no problem relaxing and with repeated ear rubs has been known to assume the doggie-yoga-frog-position and enter his Zen-Zone :o)

Gunny is an all around fun dog!

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
You must complete an application at the shelter prior to meeting any of our animals. (Sorry--our application is not available on-line or via email.)
We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
We require a fenced yard (sorry--no invisible fences) for homes with children under age 11.
We do request vet and personal references.
At this time, we are only able to consider applicants within 150 miles of Cincinnati.
