10/23/2017: Our cute Superdog aka Tater Tot is a very friendly 5 year old Pit Bull mix. He’s medium-large and weighs 57 lbs. With his coloring, body shape and mellow personality, we thought calling him Tater Tot was a perfect fit!

Tater Tot loves people and is super affectionate. He’s a happy guy and wants to be with people. He has a great smile. And he'll let us dress him up in a Halloween costume-- we think he makes a pretty good Superdog! Tater Tot has been to obedience classes at The Dogs' Spot and is all the way up to the Canine Good Citizen level of training. He's a smart tater!

Tater Tot is a bit choosy about his doggie friends, but he does get along very well with some female dogs. If you have a dog, we'd ask you to make an appointment to bring your dog in to meet Tater to see if they might be friendly. He does need a home without cats or small kids.

Tater Tot was picked up by KCK Animal Control and was brought to us because he had bite wounds on his back end and side The poor guy also had heartworms. He's had treatment and is all fixed up and healthy now. And he's been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He's mostly house trained but may need a little time to adjust to a new home and routine for house training.. He’s a really sweet guy and will be a wonderful companion.

> Our goal is to send you home with a healthy pet and any information and support you may need to help your new pet adjust to his or her new home. All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, coupons for pet supplies and services, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!

> Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.

> An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. If you decide you'd like to adopt one of our dogs, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the dog home with you that same day.
