Meet Pibble Puppies

UPDATE: 9-2-15 RESCUE COMMIT ON THE REMAINING 3 PUPS

UPDATE: 8-22-15 The two white with black girls were rescued so we have 2 black with white boys and one black with white girl left to adopt or be rescued. They will be 15 weeks old this upcoming week, have had 2 sets of vaccinations, and will be given a 3rd distemper parvo vax this upcoming Wed.

UPDATE: 8/1/15 Bashful the runt has been adopted so there are still 5 wonderful little pibble pups for adoption. They will be 12 weeks old this Thursday. 3 girls and 2 boys left.

UPDATE 7/22/15
The pups are doing great and are ready for their new homes! Their appetites are enormous and they are well socialized. If you are interested in adopting one of these loving babies then please contact the ACO at the shelter at 931-359-5948 and stop in and see them! They will get a booster on their puppy shots this week and be dewormed again.

UPDATE 7-8-15
We are sad to report these sweet babies have broken with parvo. One of the pups has passed away and two are being treated at the vet now. Tomorrow the ACOs will take the remaining 4 to be tested and if they are also positive the city has agreed to treat.
They will not be placed up for adoption until the vet says they are ok to be adopted.
It has been over a year since we have had a parvo outbreak at the shelter and it was just a matter of time til it happened again. With it out in the environment it is just always a constant worry and concern. Hopefully we caught it in time for the rest of the pups.

These Pit Bull Terrier pups were born at the shelter and will be ready for their new homes on Thursday July 9. They will be 8 weeks old then. They have had a parvo live vaccine and been dewormed.

We have numbered them inside their ears to correspond with the number and pic on their vax sheet. They are socialized and typical puppies!

ARATT has offered to sponsor $21 of their adoption fees and they will be doing vet references for the adopters of these pups. So the adopter upon approval will pay the remaining $50. This will cover the spay or neuter, one distemper parvo vax, and the rabies vax of the pup. Since they are only 8 weeks old the shelter will give up to 3 months to have them fixed but they will need to be vetted with a booster as soon as they are adopted.

They will not be available for adoption until this Thursday morning at 7am.
ARATT is working on rescue for them also for those who aren't adopted right away.

The public will not be allowed to come in and handle the pups. As you can see we take the precaution of wearing gloves when handling them. The only one that needs a tad more socializing is Grumpy and we already had her licking us by the time we finished their vax and deworming on Friday.

There are 7 pups total but Petfinder only allows us to add 3 photos. For photos of all of the pups you can visit our facebook All Dogs Album at this link:

By TN state law stray dogs are held for 3 days so they can be found by their owners before being put up for adoption. Rescues are allowed to pull dogs on the day after they are put up for adoption. A dog found as a stray wearing a collar is held for 5 days before it is put up for adoption, and on the 6th day is available to rescue. Our shelter is a first come first adopt/rescue facility.  There are no holds placed on dogs for potential adopters/rescue. They are available at 7am on the day they are available.
The current adoption fee is $71 which includes the dogs spay or neuter, Rabies vaccination, and Distemper/Parvo vaccination at a local vet. .  Dogs are given 2 weeks to find a new home and due to limited space and resources are given a two week euthanasia date on intake.
