Gemma Chihuahua & Dachshund Mix Nanaimo, BC

Gemma is a one year old Chihuahua mix, about 8 lbs. She has had a rough start in life but is a very sweet little soul. She takes a little longer to warm up to you but once she does she will love you for life. She is very quiet and timid but does come out of her shell after she feels comfortable. She has never made a peep, not even a little tiny bark. She loves to get pets and be picked up. She also loves being outside, exploring the yard, and sun bathing. She really is the cutest, sweetest little thing and needs a forever family to make her feel that she's finally home.

Gemma does have a mild case of hydrocephalus which is water on the brain. She doesn't seem to affected by it too much and should live a normal life. She does seem a little more sleepy than the average dog and maybe doesn't have as much energy. She still has little spurts of energy once in awhile and will run a little bit in the yard :) As a result of the hydrocephalus her head is shaped a little larger in the front and her eyes are a little further apart which makes her that much more adorable!
