This sweet senior boy was surrendered to the shelter when his owner become ill and could no longer care for him. Unfortunately, by the time he came to us, Rudy had not received proper care for quite some time. Perhaps his previous owner found it too difficult to let go of her beloved pet, when they felt like they most needed his company.

After a couple of months in his foster home, Rudy was in good physical shape and was adopted to a home. Unfortunately, he was returned a month later, citing that he had gotten into a dirty diaper. Dogs of all ages need to be supervised and we actually recommend that Rudy go to a home with children 10 yrs and older.

Rudy is good with other dogs and cats, and his tolerance level is good, although we recommend children over 10 yrs of age, as a senior dog's tolerance can wane over time.

Rudy is current on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. He has tested negative for heartworms and is current on heartworm preventative.
