Joe Joe- The Old Gentleman's Dog Labrador Retriever & Boxer Mix Hamilton, NJ

This is Joe Joe, a 9 month old Lab/Boxer mix. He presently weighs 40 pounds but should mature to about 50. Joe Joe showed up on the porch of an older gentleman one day, and it didn't take long for the man to become attached to him. However, the man feared he would trip over Joe Joe, and so he brought him to the shelter. It turned out that the head of our rescue was at the shelter that day at the same time. She looked at the man who was near tears and told him that Joe Joe could come into our rescue, a place where he wouldn't have to fear that Joe Joe would be euthanized. She discovered that the gentleman had taught him to sit and behave. He does well with other dogs and is quite low-keyed. We haven't heard him bark yet. Here he is, the gentleman's dog, the dog so loved by the man who had to give him up. The dog who is quietly waiting for a forever home. (posted 6/12/15, ME, N/A)

Adoption: $275.00 which covers quarantine, spaying or neutering, shots, heart worm testing, monthly heart worm and flea/tick preventatives, worming, medical records, and state health certificate.
