Meet Isabella - Survives a fire, looking for a home.

UPDATE: She is a beauty! And she knows it!!!!

Isabella has a story to tell. Her home burned to the ground and she survived. She was found the next day in the middle of the rubble stuck to a piece of plastic. She was in rough shape and was brought into the emergency vet to be euthanized. She was burned badly and was suffering from smoke inhalation. The family had nothing left and had nowhere for her to go. The emergency vets and staff decided to save her. Ownership was relinquished and they said their good byes. After months of healing, Isabella is now ready for adoption. She no longer has ear tips but her fur has mostly grown in. Her fur has gotten soft again which shows that she has healed inside. Her slipper feet are starting to show. Her left eye will always be raised as that had a more severe burn and less fur has grown back. You can tell where all she was burned to the skin because her fur has grown back in white.

Why did Isabella survive? She is a fighter! She has enough sass in her to say 'Oh Hell No!' you won't take my life! Isabella does not like to come out to the general public so events are not good for her. She doesn't like change and she is vocal to tell you that she is not happy. She loves one of my foster cats Cookie who usually never likes females, but they rip through the house playing all the time. Should someone be looking for two cats, I would love Cookie to go home with her, this is totally not a necessity though. Isabella has never hurt me even after the many uncomfortable foot baths that I had to give her blistered feet. She has smacked me but never uses her claws and she has laid her teeth on me but has not bitten me. She will scare you for sure with her unpredictable vocalizing.

She does have a soft side where she will sit with me for morning coffee, she has been my lap warmer too!!! She is social and hangs out with the family. She will use my scratching post and has no issues with the litter box. She is a bit of a begger for people food but that is probably my fault cause if she wanted it I gave it to her. She is also a darn good bug catcher!!!

I felt I was being a little bit selfish hanging on to her for so long after she was spayed and ready for adoption, but I truly love her and I can't wait to see her with a full thick fur coat. The person adopting this gem must promise that they will send me updates.

She has been tested for FIV/FeLV neg, flea treated, up to date on vaccines including rabies and spayed!

Her adoption donation is $100 and you can email Lori at lwend5763@yahoo.com if you are interested in adopting my girl!
