COLLINS Chocolate Labrador Retriever Franklin, TN

When Collins came to us he was very shy and fearful. It was as if the poor baby had never been out of his pen. He had never been petted and loved, he had never seen the outside world. He didn’t know what it was like to be loved by a person. But not anymore! He has been with me about 6 weeks now. Since he came to us he has learned to walk on a leash, he has learned to like to be loved on and petted. He loves to cuddle on the couch. He is crate trained and he loves kids. Collins now lives with 6 kids, 7 other dogs, horses, pony's, a pig, rabbits, and even a cat. It’s a very busy, home, Oh and did I mention that he loves kids because he does. His primary care takers at our home are a 9 year old and 5 year old girls. They take him out every morning, they bring him in every night put him in his crate and feed him, and he is so good with them. Collins has come so far in such a short time and even though I love to watch him blossom and learn every day, there is nothing more I can do that can't be done in his new forever home. Collins will need a few days to get used to his new home. He is still cautious of new places, but he's learning fast. There is no doubt in my mind if you have a little patience and a lot of love Collins would be a great addition to your family. He learns everyday and has come so far he deserves a forever home with a family that can love him as much as he wants to trust and love them and even though he still needs a little work he wants to trust and he wants to love he has proven that to me time and time again. His favorite place in our home is cuddled on the couch with my girls being a loved part of the family. Collins is a chocolate lab mix with the birthday of 7/10/14 making him around 10 months old. He weighs 40-45 lbs. He has beautiful, striking eyes of a goldish color. His fur is thick and soft to the touch. If you want a forever baby that is truly appreciative and grateful for just the food and love he's given please consider adopting Collins you won't regret it. Once he knows and loves you it will be a forever love.
