If our hard-luck hound Justice was a book, he’d hope you would not judge him by his cover but instead by the compelling and heart-tugging story inside.
For the first five years of his life, Justice lived a horrible existence. He was mistreated by his previous owner, who failed to provide any veterinary care for him. But justice prevailed (which is how he got his new name) and he came to RBARI to begin his new life.

The years of neglect resulted in severe (non-contagious) skin issues and hair loss for Justice. He is being treated for them, and despite his discomfort, this good-hearted boy has a friendly disposition. He will often run to the front of his kennel to greet someone walking by. He has every reason to think poorly of humans, but he seems to like us all. While he might not look his handsome best at the moment, he is hoping someone kind will see past that to his sweet nature and the dog he can become.

He is looking to start a new chapter in his life with a loving owner who provides the care he needs and deserves. He’d do well with playmates to provide daily socialization and exercise and enjoys the company of humans and friendly dogs. He hopes every day that his story will have a happy ending. Maybe you will be the one to make that wish come true.
