Meet Jake: Shy Guy
Meet Jake! Jake is a sweet, gentle, well-mannered 2 year old fox terrier. He's currently at 14lbs, with an ideal weight of a pound or two lighter.
Jake can be shy with new people. He's more comfortable watching and taking things in for a while before meeting someone. He is good in his crate and seems to be mostly housebroken. He gets along with other gentle small to medium sized dogs, but finds intense or bouncy dogs to be off-putting. Jake loooves going on walks and has excellent leash manners-- he'll walk right with you without pulling.
Jake will do well in a calm home with an owner who will take him for walks to build up his fitness and build his confidence and trust in the world. He is small and quiet, so as long as he got several walks a day he'd do great in an apartment. Jake is up to date on his vaccines, microchipped, and ready for his new home!

NOTE: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
