Roxanne Chocolate Labrador Retriever Golden, CO

Miss Roxanne is a happy, outgoing, people-loving chocolate girl who has never met a stranger. She's about 10 years old, but is the classic young at heart Lab who never got the memo on how many candles should be on her birthday cake. She came to us from a family that no longer wanted her. While she is a bigger girl, she was very much overweight at 103 pounds. Her foster dad has been a great personal trainer; with daily walks and a good diet she has slimmed down to 90 pounds. “Got a few more to go, but I feel great!” woofs our girl.
She's housetrained, perfect in the house, knows sit, rides quietly in the car and greets everyone politely with a wagging tail. An Easy Walk harness is best for walks. Roxanne is wonderful with children: gentle, calm and ready with soft kisses. She can be particular about some dog friends at first and appreciates a proper introduction. She may prefer to be you’re only canine princess. Not sure how she feels about cats.

Miss Roxanne is affectionate, friendly and loves to be close to her people with paw in all they're up to. Going on several short walks a day and chewing on her nyalone are her favorite pastimes. Her foster dad remarks: “She is a joy to have around. She’s is very pleasant and happy companionship.”

Like many Labs, Roxanne is prone to ear infections so her new family needs to be committed to keeping them clean. They may be related to allergies so a fish and potato based food is best.

Very companionable, loving and a real character, you won't find any chocolate any sweeter than our Miss Roxanne!
