Meet Hershey
Hershey: NEEDS OUTTA HERE!! Hershey is just a baby at barely a year old and grew up in a home with little kids until their landlord discovered him and said he had to leave…..Although we work very hard to have him spend time with our other friendly dogs, take long walks, socialize in the lobby, etc….He is way to young to be isolated everyday from 3pm-8am as this will be horrible for his development.
He has typical mouthy and jumpy behavior sometimes when out on leash walks and when he plays but nothing unusual, perhaps not for the first time dog owner but he would be better placed with someone who has raised a pup before.
His breed is interesting because he does not display the typical bully personality but is a more regal and serious kind of dog who can mature into a wonderful and loyal companion with the right owner.
He loves all people he has met and is learning how to properly interact with dogs. He does not appreciate anyone shoving their hands into his food bowl which is part of our testing protocol and a fairly unfair thing to do to a dog, BUT he should definitely be given time to finish his meal up so he can learn to relax when he eats and lower his guard a bit more.
We have such high hopes for our Hershey Kiss and see him learning and growing everyday….but he needs a proper home to really continue into his adolescence! Come and give him some of your time, maybe you are his person?
