Meet Reed
Reed came into the shelter as a bite case but this boy is super sweet. He was starving for food and is highly food motivated. He actually tried to get the food that was being delivered to someone and bit them in the process. We have seen no bad behavior in the shelter but again he is highly food motivated and so we recommend a home with no small children where the temptation to grab at food is there. He needs someone familiar with the breed to adopt him. Reed is a terrier mix and weighs 47 pounds. He is fully vetted and vaccinated so his adoption fee is only $5 to an approved home.
ID No. 73 Adoption date is 3/30/15. Available for rescue now. Possible Euthanize date is 5/6/15

By TN state law stray dogs are held for 3 days so they can be found by their owners before being put up for adoption. Rescues are allowed to pull dogs on the day after they are put up for adoption. A dog found as a stray wearing a collar is held for 5 days before it is put up for adoption, and on the 6th day is available to rescue. Our shelter is a first come first adopt/rescue facility. There are no holds placed on dogs for potential adopters/rescue. They are available at 7am on the day they are available.
The current adoption fee is $71 which includes the dogs spay or neuter, Rabies vaccination, and Distemper/Parvo vaccination at a local vet. . Dogs are given 2 weeks to find a new home and due to limited space and resources are given a two week euthanasia date on intake.
