Geoff Hound & German Shepherd Dog Mix Cincinnati, OH

What a SWEEEEET boy! He is (about) a year old and 66lbs and likely a hound/shepherd mix. A dream in the car - cuddly, teddy bear persona, great on leash, loves people and on the way into the vet office, met two labs and stopped for a chat. He seems to like having his photo taken and will pose beautifully :o) Just a gorgeous dog.

“I have taken Geoff to my house twice and he is about the best dog I have ever brought home in the ten years I have volunteered. Close to a perfect dog for sure!
Geoff is friendly with my three dogs even though they refuse to play with him, so Geoff and I play with the rope and he loves to chase a ball. He does like to play. He loves people and I had my grandkids over last night to meet him and they loved him and he loved them. He does not beg at the table when we eat dinner as unfortunately my dogs still do.
He is good on leash and likes walks in the park and like any dog is super interested when he sees a squirrel?
Geoff doesn't whine or bark when we leave the house, he remains very calm. Did I mention that he is one handsome, sweet and happy guy!
So if anyone out there would like a perfect dog it would be Geoff.”

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
You must complete an application at the shelter prior to meeting any of our animals. (Sorry--our application is not available on-line or via email.)
We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
We require a fenced yard (sorry--no invisible fences) for homes with children under age 11.
We do request vet and personal references.
At this time, we are only able to consider applicants within 150 miles of Cincinnati.
