Canine Companions at the animal center are all good citizens because they have been altered prior to availability for adoption. I have received at least my first vaccination for parvo, distemper, adenovirus, coronavirus and bordatella (kennel cough) and possibly more dependant on my age and how long I have been at the center. If the dog is 12 weeks old it may have received a rabies vaccination. All canines are dewormed on intake and at regular intervals. All parasites are also treated such as fleas and ticks as well. All dogs 6 months of age and older are tested for heartworm disease and all dogs regardless of age are place on heartworm preventative. All dogs are microchipped so that if they get lost they can find their way back home to you quickly. All pets adopted from the center come with a one month free pet insurance which will help to ensure their health and well-being.
The animal center does its best to help assure that the adopting person and or family finds a pet suitable and compatable for your lifestyle.
Purebred canine adoption fee is $125. Puppies up to 4 months $125. Dogs over 4 months $100. Some of our canine friends have been sponsored by generous patrons- this allows the adoption fee to be reduced from original fee minus sponsorship amount to good homes.
