Meet Ranger
Arrival story: Ranger and his sister Darby were brought to a shelter when his family could no longer care for them. Waggin' Tails picked them up and have been caring for them since.
Approximate age / weight: 5 months/ 40 lbs.
Personality: Ranger is a goofball! He loves to play but settles down nicely. He plays somewhat rough so a family with infants would not be a good fit. Ranger is crate trained and is housebroken. He walks well on a leash, knows sit, lay down, kisses, comes when he's called, and is a quick learner.
Forever home: Ranger will do well in just about any situation with the right guidance. He'll need a family who is willing to put in the work and time it will take to help him grow up to be the perfect companion. Please remember, puppies don’t magically become well-behaved, well-adjusted adult dogs. It takes work and commitment on the part of their human family. They need to be taught where to potty, how to greet friends and strangers, and basic obedience. They need to be given lots of exposure to new people and situations to ensure that they are well socialized and confident.

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html. Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com
Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $125 for senior dogs, $275 for small breed dogs and $250 for puppies, plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
