NEW RESCUE! My name is Grandpa Joe. I am 8 years old and a English Bull dog. I have a long story from my life and it isn't a happy one and I don't want to go into details. What I do want to say is that two weeks ago, Rescue Rovers pulled me into their program with the help of many wonderful ladies and now I am pretty darn spoiled. I don't want to dwell on the past but I do want to say that because of what I have gone through I do have some health issues. I am blind in one eye but with daily drops my other eye has improved since coming into foster care! I have eye drops that I need once every 24 hours. I am overweight, I am a chunky monkey wrapped in bacon! My portly stature has made it hard for me to walk, in fact at first my fosters thought I couldn't walk at all and they carried me around! Once I started feeling better though I showed them I can do small stairs and I love walking in the grass and always stop to smell the flowers. I had ear infections in both ears that are getting much better, I can hear but sometimes I pretend I can't. Like that time we were outside and I wanted to explore and kept slowly walking away, my foster mom knew I could hear her but it was such a nice day out I wanted to see what was going on in the world! I know I am a senior and sometimes that can be scary because you know I don't have a lot of time left on this earth but I can tell you I am worth it. I flourish with love and am getting stronger everyday. I need someone to love me and help me the last years of my life. In return I promise laughter, cuddling and lots of kisses.
