Shanti Poodle & Maltese Mix Phoenix, AZ

MEET SHANTI - Shanti was among a group of 7 dogs dumped at a high-kill shelter by their owner, who was a backyard breeder. All dogs were in very poor shape with years of medical and emotional neglect. But it turns out that their owner dumping them was the start of a wonderful new life for this girl!

Shanti is estimated to be between 7-10 years old and weighs around 10 pounds. It's obvious from her actions that she has always lived in a smaller kennel and never known the freedom of being loose in a home or yard.

Shanti has a fabulous foster mom who has patiently let her learn to trust and enjoy new experiences. She is working on housetraining, but this is new to her so she will need a family with patience and the commitment to keep working with her.

Shanti is learning to walk on a leash and exploring outside. She is very affectionate with her foster mom and is wonderful with other dogs and cats. Chanti is spayed, has had an extensive dental, and is current on vaccines and microchipped.
