Meet Autumn

Autumn was a stray when we found her in October of 2014 so we don't know her exact age. She was malnourished and suffering from parasites common to outdoor rabbits. A few days after our vet started treating her, she surprised us with a litter of babies. She was great mom to her babies and has been spayed. She is healthy now with a beautiful new, soft coat. Autumn has a sweet, calm nature and continued to live with her babies the past four years in a huge room converted for the rabbits to run and play with air conditioning and heat. Her family is moving and won't be able to keep her or three of her babies. They have been well cared for and can be adopted together or Autumn might like to be introduced to a new rabbit to be a companion.

Introducing rabbits safely can be a challenge and doesn't always work if the rabbits are not compatible. We recommend people interested in having more than one rabbit take advantage of adopting a pair already bonded.

If you need more information about rabbits before the next event or would like to attend an adoption event, see the information below:

We do not have a shelter to introduce our foster rabbits and our volunteers have limited time to respond to all online inquiries, so the best way to meet one of our rabbits is to attend our next adoption day. Sometimes people bond to a different rabbit in person than the one they choose online.
**If you send an inquiry, be sure to include information about your interest in a rabbit, experience level, current household (family and other pets), and planned space for a new rabbit. The more information you provide will help get a faster response.

Current bunny parents are encouraged to bring their rabbits to adoption clinics if they are interested in adopting a companion rabbit. Your rabbit must be spayed or neutered to be eligible to meet one of our fosters. SHRS volunteers will be happy to help your bunny through that feisty first date.
