Meet Anna

This is one sweet dog! Anna was abandoned by an irresponsible owner who moved away and left her. She was rescued, and has been spayed and is eating like a horse! Anna is still thin, but she has gained a good amount of weight since she has been here. She has had puppies, but there will be no more babies in her future. Anna is typical of hunting dogs we have seen in that she seemed to be completely unfamiliar with basic things like being inside a building and walking on a leash. She is learning from the other dogs however, and is now completely comfortable with going out to her exercise area with her doggie playmates and coming in to find that a nice big bowl of food has magically appeared in her room! She is still a bit timid and will cower at first, but she is very sweet, very quiet, and is getting the hang of waiting until she gets outside to go potty. Extremely sweet dog who will make a great companion!
