Meet Champ

This stunning senior Shepherd is Champ She was given up by her family because they could no longer care for her She is approx. 11 years young and 55 pounds She has been spayed and recently had all her teeth cleaned (with 2 extractions) she is a very loving, loyal dog who loves people, most other dogs (but not ones who bounce around in her face and space) and actually enjoys the companionship of a canine pal who is low key can be comforting to her She is housetrained, rides very well in the car, walks nicely on leash, she is an overall gem. She tested positive for Lyme's Disease which means she was bitten by a tick that carries Lyme's. She has been on the antibiotic for 3 weeks now and is feeling much better. Lyme Disease is not contagious to other dogs or people. In order to get Lyme Disease you need to be bitten by a tick that carries. She was found in the Niagara Region and we did report it to the shelter to they could in turn report it to their health department.
