Meet Achilles & Daisy/adoption pending
Daisy and Achilles are two of the cutest Beagles in Massachusetts. Achilles is the one in the second photo and Daisy is the one in the third photo. They are wonderful, happy and friendly dogs. The volunteers at the Medfield Shelter are big fans of this breed for their easygoing personalities.
The Beagles came to us from a private home where they received lots of love and good care. Their original owner has passed away, and they were staying with a relative that already owns two dogs and a cat so it was just too much for one home. They have been very well cared for, are up-to-date on all vet care and will be immediately ready for adoption. Though not siblings, these 9 year old (almost 10) dogs have been together much of there lives. Their owner would love to have us place them together if possible, but we will split them up for the right situation. Both dogs enjoy treats, attention and lounging on the couch.

If a dog is listed on our website, that means that dog is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Our dog adoption fee for dogs 7 years or older is $150. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, tested for heartworm and Lyme and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative. If a dog is listed on our website, they are still available for adoption. Please fill out the adoption application if you would like to be considered for a dog you see in our care.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
