MEET FRANCIE -

Calling all Doxie lovers...please join us on our mission to find this sweet 5.5 year old, smooth, red haired, 10 lb, lowrider doxie a loving forever family. She is super cute, but right now is very frightened and confused. She was taken to the vet by her previous owners, after several years, to be put down, but the vet called Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. instead. Sweet FRANCIE needs a lot of TLC and a chance to prove she is a loving little doxie. FRANCIE has been fully vetted, spayed and had all her teeth checked and cleaned. In fact, you could say that she is packed and ready to go if the right family, who can see past her frightened outward appearance (she tends to nip when she is afraid) and look inside to see the beautiful, loyal, wonderful girl we know she is. FRANCIE will need to be the one and only fur child in a home with a doxie savvy, stay at home (retired or work from home) parent. Because of her fearful nipping, she really should not be in a home with children. Please join us in our mission, Doxie Lovers. We need to find this girl her loving, forever home and get her settled as soon as possible.

OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.

WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE:
All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Pyrantyl, nails trimmed, and dental when needed. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
