Meet Brownie: Adopted!
Date of birth: 9/2012
7/8/2015: Brownie is very cute 2 year old Pit Bull. He’s a very sweet and affectionate guy. He LOVES to give kisses! He gets along well with most other dogs. Brownie weighs 46 lbs. He’s playful and loves to go for long walks and play in the yard. He was a little shy when he first arrived at our shelter, but he's doing well now and enjoys meeting new people. Brownie's gone to several satellite adoption events and he's pretty certain that everyone he meets is there to receive kisses from him!
Brownie has a sister, Oreo, who is also available for adoption. The two get along well together and enjoy playing out in the yard together. They could be adopted together or separately.
If you have a dog and are interested in adopting Brownie, we’d ask you to make an appointment to bring your dog in to meet him to see if they like each other. He does need a home without cats.
Brownie has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms.
MORE ON ADOPTING OUR DOGS...
Please visit our web site at HSGKC.ORG for more information about our adoption process, our adoption fees and all that's included, and for a pet adoption application.
> Our goal is to send you home with a healthy pet and any information and support you may need to help your new pet adjust to his or her new home. All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, coupons for pet supplies and services, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!
> Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.
> An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. If you decide you'd like to adopt one of our dogs, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the dog home with you that same day.
Thank you for searching for a shelter pet!
