Precious Pit Bull Terrier Murfreesboro, TN

A couple of weeks ago, Madison/Rivergate Pets had a sighting of a beige pit bull darting in and out of traffic on an extremely busy road. By the time I was able to get out there, the dog was gone. Two days later, about a mile down the road, we had another sighting of the same dog. She was hunkered down in an open field, barking and growling at anyone who approached. Concerned employees of American Motors fed her and worked hard to earn her trust. Finally after several attempts, and older gentleman was able to slip leash her. She immediately relaxed and gave thanks with kisses. I called my husband and he immediately went down there and brought her home. The poor girl was so terrified, she shook uncontrollably. We gave her a bath and examined her body. She showed clear signs of emotional and physical abuse. Her neck was raw from where she had been tied up, her nails overgrown, she was bred, and had lacerations all over her body. She is starting to come out of her shell and is the sweetest pup. She is spayed, current on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She is in great overall health, estimated at 3-4 years old, and shows no signs of dog aggression. She does show a little too much interest in kitties, so I recommend a cat-free home or one where they are separated. She is the sweetest dog and LOVES to snuggle but needs someone to help her build confidence. Home check, vet references, and adoption application are required.
