Tess Border Collie Mix Waxhaw, NC

Meet Tess a beautiful 2-3 year old Border Collie mix. Tess is a very endearing girl that loves to be around her people. Tess came to our rescue after being rescued from a local shelter right before she was due to be euthanized. It was discovered she was pregnant and on March 27th 2015, she delivered 6 beautiful puppies. Her puppies have gone on to find their forever homes and now it is time for Tess to find hers. She is a bit nervous in new situations and will need a family that will give her the time she needs to adjust. Once she is used to her new family, she is the most loving and affectionate girl you will ever meet. Tess is used to a home where someone is home more than not. She needs a structured home that will give her the exercise and socialization she needs to become a well-rounded dog. She knows basic commands like, sit, stay and come and walks great on leash. She is not a big fan of car rides and would not do well on long journeys. But if you are looking for a companion that will stand by your side than Tess is the girl for you. She does best with dogs that are more submissive but playful and is great with cats. She would not do well with an underground fence system or in an apartment setting.
