Riggens Basset Hound & Beagle Mix Ashland, VA

Hi!! My name is Riggens and I’m a Beagle/Basset Hound mix boy born in 2014. My main goals in life are to have fun and give kisses. My ideal owner will be an experienced, dog-savvy person. I'm affectionate, happy, and love my people...but I can be stubborn at times and do not like to be manhandled or physically forced to do something. ...I absolutely do not like the veterinarian.

Hanover Humane will only be adopting me to a home without young children ...and I definitely need an experienced dog owner, not a first-time dog owner. In exchange, I'll be a great companion who's smart, funny, and loads of fun.

The fee to adopt me is $150, I've been neutered, am current on all of my vaccinations (DHLPP, Bordetella and Rabies), have been heartworm tested (and am negative), am on heartworm preventative, and have been microchipped. My new owner will receive a month of free pet health insurance at the time of my adoption. I am looking for a home in the Richmond, Virginia metropolitan area or in a county bordering on Hanover County, Virginia. Come meet me on Saturday mornings, between 9 AM and 12 Noon or call the kennel to see me on weekdays. You can find me at the HHS kennels on Route 1 in Ashland.
