Gunner American Bulldog & Beagle Mix Houston, TX

Hey y'all, I'm Gunner! Foster mom says I'm the best behaved pup she's ever had. I'm doing great on my potty training and haven't had any accidents in the house for 2 weeks now; I definitely know I need to do my business outside! I even taught myself to sit by the door when I have to go. I'm a really smart pup! Plus, my big Pittie foster sisters have really helped show me the ropes and made me more comfortable after leaving my mommy and sister, Brooklyn, behind. So foster mom thinks I'd do best in a home with other dogs since I love the company (and a good game of tug-tug-of-war). I'm also doing exceptionally well with my crate manners! I use to whine and whimper but with some soft blankets and treat bribing, I now sleep quietly through the night and even enjoy taking naps in there during the day when I want some peace and quiet. I do get excited when I hear you come home though and bark to let you know how happy I am, but other than that, I stay silent while in my crate. Did I mention I also love my (human) toddler foster brother??--I follow him everywhere and he likes sharing his goldfish snacks with me which I gobble up gently so I don't hurt him. I know how to sit, too! I learned that on the first day foster mom tried it out--I'm really smart. I get yummy treats and peanut butter when I do it, so I'm really trying my hardest to learn other tricks, too. I'm just so eager to make my foster mom happy and she says she's really proud of how far I've come from the scared, shy pup I was. Oh, I can't wait to show my furever family my new tricks and quiet, playful personality! I know you won't be disappointed!!

P.S. I have to mention I LOVE water, too! Bath time is a blast, and I have this habit of digging in my water bowl occasionally, which foster mom is not fond of, but I'm learning that a kiddie pool is the place for that kind of fun! You'll just have to meet me in person to see what a great catch I am!! I promise to shower you with lots of kisses and melt your heart the moment you lay eyes on my wrinkly face and adorable perky ears!


Gunner is around 4 months old and about 25 lbs.
