Meet Pogo
Pogo arrived at our rescue in December of 2014, when he was transferred from another shelter that didn't have the resources to take care of his fractured hind leg. Pogo has been on cage rest and physical therapy exercises at our shelter, and now you'd barely know he had been injured. He is still strengthening his leg however, so he will need someone to help him with his physical therapy in his new home.
A young fellow, Pogo was born around May of 2014. He weighs in at 30 pounds, and is all fun and energy. Pogo loves to play with everyone and everything. He LOVES toys, and will be great at tug and fetch games. He is still learning some manners and would be a great candidate for an obedience class. Since he is so highly motivated by toys and treats, he should be a joy to train.
We don't think Pogo should go to a home with feline friends; he wants to chase the cats at the shelter, and takes it rather personally when they swat at him. He really wants to be friends with other dogs, although we would like to do a proper introduction with any dogs in his new home, due to his intense play style. Pogo is working on his crate training, and we do not know if he is house trained. He is a happy little dog who will make someone an amazing friend.
Pogo's adoption fee is $238.

Adoption Information:Adoption clinics are held every Saturday from 10am – 2pm at PetsMart, 2216 E. Springs Drive. Most of our available dogs can be visited at that time. Our dogs have all been spay/neuter, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, current on flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. We take care of any veterinary care prior to adoption. We offer a $25 rebate to adopters who complete a training class and send in proof of completion within 4 months of adoption.
Adoption Fees for our dogs and puppies range from $238 to $500 depending on the animal. Please fill out an application found on our website at sftsrescue.org
