Bitsy Chihuahua Mix Waxhaw, NC

Meet Bitsy a two-year-old female Chihuahua mix. This petite little girl is only ten pounds and is comfortable around other dogs and cats. She is house and crate trained and goes in and out the doggie-door independently in her new foster home. Her favorite pastime is dancing around the kitchen floor, waiting for crumbs to drop while her foster Mom cooks! She loves to curl up on her foster Mom and Dad’s lap with a blanket and snuggle for hours. At night she sleeps quietly in her kennel but prefers to sleep snuggled up in her foster Mom & Dad's bed! Bitsy enjoys long car rides, looking out the car window and snuggling in her blanket the whole way! Once she gets to know you she will jump on your lap, nuzzle your neck and smother your face with little kisses! Like most Chihuahuas, she will be constantly by your side and a very protective little watch dog. Bitsy was brought into our rescue after being found confined in a dark cellar a week after her owner had passed away. She was frightened and scared when she first came to her foster home. Her foster family is working to build her trust again in people and in just a short amount of time she has made great progress. Bitsy is not a fan of wearing a collar or leash so a home with a fenced in back yard is a must. Bitsy will do best in a family that is familiar with Chihuahua temperament and also has experience with small breeds. With a little patients and kindness, Bitsy will be a great lifelong companion for somebody! Her adoption donation of $200 included her vaccines, spay and microchip.
