Hokie American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Leesburg, VA

Precious girl Hokie just LOVES people! She is super smart and just wants to please you! This affectionate, 3 yr old, 45 lb. spayed staffie mix came to us knowing sit, down, shake, and roll over. Hokie is very loving and has the biggest heart; she wants her human to be happy and will do whatever she can to make you smile (including giving you cuddles and kisses). She adores spending time with people, your presence is all it takes to make her happy. Playing fetch is her favorite! She will bring the ball back to you, drop it at your feet, and if you don't throw it—she will roll it closer to you with her nose. Hokie is good in the house, housebroken and does not chew anything inappropriate.
Hokie's Story: this sweet girl was found abandoned in the apartment after her original humans moved. It appears she'd had several litters and was not well socialized with other dogs. To help her through the latter, we have her being socialized by a behaviorist/trainer who is known as our local "Dog Whisperer!" Hokie is doing great and is in play group every day with many dogs. To set her up for success, she needs to be the only dog in her household so you can have the time to continue to build her confidence. Hokie is NOT a cat person but is—and has always been—a people person!
Hokie would love to be your walking, hiking, jogging partner. She is UTD on vaccines, heart worm tested (neg), dewormed, and microchipped.
