Duffy's Friends matches dogs to families in the Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse area's. We are waiving the requirement of a traditional fenced yard as these dogs are so small. You must be a home owner to apply and also have a prior or current vet reference in your name. We would like children in the home to be 10 years and older.

Our adoption application is on our website at www.duffysfriends.com and please look for the dog bone as the application is found by clicking on the dog bone.
We can also forward an attachment by email if that might be easier. During the winter months we are not at pet stores so a foster home is where you are going to meet this cute girl. We must have a qualified application before we allow visits.

Our adoption donation request is $300.00 for a completely spayed female dog, dental and vaccinations. Tara does come with a Duffy's ID tag and collar which you keep. She is also micro chipped.

Tara is a little Yorkshire Terrier that is 6 years old and 4 lbs soaking wet! She was retired from a compassionate breeder that we have worked with for 3 years. We have placed about 30 of her dogs and each family has been very happy. They do take a few months to adjust to the new life but they are make a fine transition. One of our past Yorkshire Terrier adoptions from Dec 2014 wrote to us recently and said " you would be so proud of Elvis's emotional growth'. He is playing with toys and we just love him to pieces.

We are delighted to place Tara and we are finding that she may have to go with sister Priscilla. The word is that they would do better as a pair. We will wait but we are quite sure we won't be able to split them up as they are a bonded pair. Tara and Priscilla do everything in tandem. They walk together as a pair and depend on each other. We would like them to have a wonderful life and not too many people are looking for two dogs. Well if you are - we would like to hear from you because the two sisters are joined at the hip. Double love in a 4 lb Yorkie suit!
