Meet 14-723 "Lennon"
Lennon #14-723. Arrived 12/22/2014, at 8-10 months old.
Our Animal Control Officer first met Harlem when he was just an 8 week old puppy. He was cute as a button and his outgoing personality charmed our officer from the first moment. Harlem always showed how amazing his personality was the multiple times he was picked up running on the street in his young life. He was never suspicious when out on his own, and was always happy to meet and greet the people he met on the street. He especially loved when he got back to his familiar friends at the shelter. Finally the last time he ended up at the shelter, there was no owner this time to bail him out. That was fine with us. Their loss was our gain. Harlem was still a young guy and needed a fresh start. He got a new collar, a very dedicated volunteer, and a new name! Lennon does not do well in the overwhelming shelter environment inside, but get him outside and you will meet a different dog. Lennon is very athletic and exercise will be the key to living in harmony with him. Lennon loves to play ball…Lennon loves to play ball…Lennon loves to play ball. Oh, and did we mention that Lennon loves to play ball? Lennon will politely sit while he waits for the ball to be thrown and at the same time he is learning how to exercise his self-restraint. Under the guidance of an owner who understands this, Lennon will make an amazing active companion.
