Blitzen is a sweet cat who has been waiting patiently for a new home for a long time. He was found as a stray in Medfield back in December and was in very rough shape from trying to survive on his own. He is 6 years old. Blitzen is by far the favorite cat of the shelter. This is not always the case with the cat who wears "the cat that has been here the longest" hat. They also must be loving and a good sport. With 30 active cat volunteers, Blitzen puts up with lots of kissing and brushing, eating all sorts of special treats that are brought in, going to the manager's home for some R& R to get a break from shelter life, constant interruptions in his daily naps on the cat tree by visitors, and meeting every new cat in his room with his gentle nature.

He would love to have a sunny place where he could bask in the sun and also look out the window to watch the birds and squirrels. Won't you give this special guy a home?

The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers and all visits to the Shelter must be scheduled in advance to insure one of our volunteers is at the shelter to meet you. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125. Our kitten adoption fee (cats up to 6 months old) is $160 for a single kitten or $260 for a pair. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, combo testing and spaying/neutering when old enough.
