Princess Blue American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Racine, WI

Princess Blue first arrived at an animal control facility with a horrific case of demodectic mange. Almost her entire body was covered in sores. The worst areas were her legs and chest which were swollen, red and oozing. She looked as if she had been dragged behind a vehicle and then tossed in chemicals. That is NOT what happened, but she looked that bad. Demodectic mange is not contagious to other pets or humans but it can be exasperating to treat. The use of dips and anti-biotics are often required for months to eliminate the mange. Luckily Miss Princess is a super sweet girl and takes it all in stride. She is about 3 and a half years old, only about 40 pounds and loves everyone she meets. She is hanging out with about 30 other dogs at a local doggie day care and has formed numerous doggie and human friendships.

UPDATE: Princess is now spayed and has finished all her treatments. I suspect she may always have a bit of a sensitivity and periodically may need medication to take care of minor outbreaks. As this is considered a pre-existing condition, Hope will provide some assistance for possible future issues.
.All dogs are in foster care and are not located in our office. If you are interested in adoption, you will need to fill out an application which can be found on our website www.hopesafehouse.org The application can be e-mailed, faxed , snail mailed or dropped at our office during regular business hours ( Monday through Friday - 11am to 3:00 pm.
Adoption fee for all canines is $88.00. There is also mandatory training classes of which Hope pays $75.00 towards. You will be required to leave a $75.00 deposit for training at time of adoption. This deposit is 100% refundable after completing a basic obedience class.
