Meet Pinceau

Aug 22, 2015 - Pinceau has been adopted. She was feral when she first came into the foster home but bonded with her foster mother and another cat in the home, who usually does not like cats. They became inseparable and her foster realized that she could not put Pinceau through another transition. Pinceau was so content and the other cat too attached to her.

This is her story: Pinceau is a DSH black female with prominent white tip on her tail. She was born outdoors in the fall of 2013 to a small black feral, named Sabbath or Noireau, depending on who was feeding her.

Sabbath was only about 5 months old when Pinceau and her two siblings were born. Pinceau survived the cold winter of 2013 under a shed with Sabbath and a sibling as her only source of warmth. Two other siblings perished.

On March 28, 2014 Sabbath gave birth to another litter of 5 kittens, Axel, Alvin, Aaron, Mookie and Vegas. The kittens were friendly, healthy, and active. There were dogs about who chased the cats and, one spring day, a person living nearby saw the family again when she carried her five tiny spring kittens to a shed roof. They had no shelter and at least one kitten fell off, but Sabbath retrieved it and moved it back up to the roof. The kittens were hardly walking but Sabbath had to leave them while she went to find food.

The person called Cat Rescue Network and Sabbath and her four week old kittens were taken to Country Cat Sanctuary but the two older kittens remained elusive. They disappeared. They remained in the area, though, and gradually became very friendly with a person who fed them a short distance away. They were inseparable. When Pinceau's sister became pregnant, she was taken to a pound, was terrified in the cage and was euthanized. Pinceau was inconsolable, cried and searched for her, then disappeared. Then she reappeared, with two little domestic kittens she was obviously trying to take care of. The lady who had befriended her found out where her mother and siblings had been taken and called Cat Rescue Network about all three cats. They were taken into a CRN foster home.

Pinceau and her two foster mates Puff and Rem are doing well in their foster home but they all need loving forever homes. Can yours be one of them?
