Mitzi West Highland White Terrier / Westie Rockaway, NJ

Mitzi is cute as a button! She's a female, West Highland White Terrier, she's just under 6 years old. She came to our rescue group with 2 male Scotties after her owner went into a nursing home. She is a typical alpha female terrier, she plays heartily and probably too rough for many other dogs. She does get along with most of the dogs in her foster home but not all of them, so we think she would be best as an only dog. She would love to be someone's princess and hog all the attention. She has never been with a cat, and we don't have any to test her with, but we don't think a cat would be safe around her. She's not an aggressive or mean dog, but she's not a pushover either, so experienced terrier owners without young children would be her best match.
She's happy and healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
She's been well loved and cared for by her owner during better times.
Her hair has been cut very short (not by us), so she's not looking her most beautiful for these pictures, but she's a pretty girl and will look great with all her furnishings grown in months from now. She's a little on the small side.
