MEET FL-BUDDY

Buddy is a stunningly handsome 6 year old male Goldendoodle surrendered to DRC by his previous owner because she was relocating. We are very sad for this big, sensitive sweetie. Prior to coming into rescue, he had only ever known his one owner since he was 8 weeks old. The great news is that Buddy has adjusted beautifully to his foster home and is now ready for his new "furever" home and family.

An extremely loving, devoted and people focused pup, we have discovered that Buddy really doesn't like most other dogs and can be reactive in a pack environment. He enjoys playing with other dogs outside of his home but can become protective of his space in his own environment. On his own as an only dog, he is the absolute perfect gentleman. He is completely trained, knowing almost all of his commands, walks well on a leash and has great recall. He seems to learn instantaneously. He really is that smart. This delightful boy is truly looking to attach to his "furever" family. He just needs the right home.

Buddy can be very puppy-like as far as his energy goes. He really loves to play and fetch a ball for his person. He also loves to stick close to his peeps as well. He is a gentle soul who wants to please. What Buddy just needs is to be the only dog in a dog savvy, ADULT ONLY home with a fenced in yard. He also needs a person or family who understand that he is fearful of other dogs and can't be placed into any situation where he is going to be set up for failure. In the right environment, Buddy is a star! You won't find a more loyal and loving pup.

Buddy is completely house-trained, leash trained and knows many commands. He is neutered, UTD on all vaccines and preventatives and will be a wonderful companion for the right home and family.

DRC ADOPTION POLICIES

DRC Inc. has adoption requirements and policies in place to ensure the safety, well-being and appropriate home placement of every doodle dog in our program.
Adorable as they may be and in spite of the hype, doodles ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE! They are highly intelligent, active, emotional, high maintenance dogs that require special attention, care and the serious commitment of an experienced dog owner.

Consequently, DRC does not typically adopt to first time dog owners, families with children under 10 years of age or those not experienced with the needs of large sporting dogs that have extensive grooming and exercise requirements.

Please read through our policies and be certain that your home environment and lifestyle are both compatible with, and appropriate for a doodle BEFORE you apply.

In many and most cases, a PHYSICAL FENCE IS REQUIRED in order to be considered for a DRC rescue doodle.

DRC Adoption donations typically range from: $250 - $500 and vary according to the age, health, temperament and location of each dog. Every doodle is an individual and every doodle has his/her own specific needs and requirements. Adopters are selected based on compatibility. NOT on a "first come, first serve basis. At no time does DRC ever put the desires of applicants, before or above the needs and requirements of rescue doodles in our program.
