MEET WHOOPI....and she is a comedian, a lover, a happy girl and a gorilla look alike!! Gotta love those underbites! We think that Whoopi is a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix, coal black with a touch of white, about 4 yrs old and 9 lbs of love! This little lady was dumped in the shelter by her owner "because she didn't want the responsibility of having a dog," and then set to go on a transport to who knows where from the Baldwin Park shelter. When Whoopi spoke up and said she didn't want to go anywhere, she was left behind! Whoopi loves to go on her walks, but she will bark at strangers if she feels so inclined! She is typically quiet and snuggly! She loves to play, seems to be potty trained and is good with dogs, kids and just about everyone she meets! The best home for Whoopi would be any one where she is loved to life, with or without another dog and kids over 8 yrs old would be fine. Or, she could go into a home with a single person who would dote on her and give her lots and lots of love and attention...just don't leave her all alone all day, she deserves better! If you have room in your heart for this little love, please come and get her....she is ready for her forever home!

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday (unless we are doing a special event) at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar on www.lhasahappyhomes.org for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets!

You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events).

Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!!
