Dumpling is going to his new home on Saturday!

Dumpling is a friendly, playful and adorable 41/2-year-old Pekingese. He lived with another dog and cats at his last home where he lived from the time he was a puppy. He knows Sit and Paw and is a calm and mellow little dog. He also enjoys car rides and long walks. He is only 12 lbs. but has a big dog spirit and has so much fun, playing with toys and playing peek-a-boo under his blanket. He barks at men when he first meets them but that changes as soon as the man extends a hand kindly or even just sits down and then he is right back to his friendly self. He loves kids and was the life of the party when a Girl Scout troop came to visit recently. Pekingese are known as loyal and fun-loving dogs and Dumpling certainly fits that description.

Our dog adoption fee for dogs 6 years old or younger is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have one employee. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
