Zeus Labrador Retriever & Collie Mix Medfield, MA

Zeus has just arrived and is a little timid right now, but expect him to warm up quickly and will post more once we get to know him. He came to us from the MSPCA in Methuen because he needed a quieter environment. He is almost 4 years old, is neutered and is housebroken. He loves to go for walks, lived with cats in his last home where he chased them and they chased him. His previous owner described him as a perfect family pet.He knows Sit, Down and Paw. He was given up by an owner that was no longer able to care for him. He seems friendly with other dogs. He is microchipped and up-to-date on his vet care.

Our dog adoption fee for dogs 6 years old or younger is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have one employee. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
