Say hello to Cha Cha, a 4 year-old long hair Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix female! Cha Cha has a thick, dark espresso-colored coat with a white chest and one white paw. She is quite a beauty. Cha Cha weighs about 10 pounds, so she's a perfect size.

Cha Cha is one of the Broken Bow 7 that came to Chihuahua Rescue when her owner in Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed away. Cha Cha is completely house broken, rarely barks and loves to lay in bed with her favorite toys. But what she really wants is to be in your lap or next to you on the sofa to get her belly rubbed or her beautiful coat brushed.

Sometimes when Cha Cha wants your attention she will bring you a toy so you will stop what you are doing and play with her! She absolutely loves to go for walks with her foster siblings and does very well on a harness and leash and with all the people and dogs she meets. If it's not too warm, she also loves to sun herself on the patio, or run around a little bit and sniff things. Cha Cha has a very sweet, calm temperment and moderate energy. When she gets excited, she spins around and around, which is why her foster Mom has nicknamed her "The Oklahoma Twister";!


Cha Cha goes in a kennel for her meals, and will go on her own in a kennel to relax, but she gets stressed if she is confined in one for very long when no one is at home. Because of this, she has not been kenneled during the day while her foster Mom is at work (or for bedtime). Cha Cha has behaved perfectly! She will use a pee pee pad if she has to, but she really prefers to do her business outside in the grass!

Cha Cha gets along very well with her foster siblings but on occasion doesn't like them coming near her favorite toys (she loves plush toys and toys that crinkle!). Her foster Mom has been working with her to correct this behavior and she has made great strides. She's a very smart girl and picks up on things quickly!

Cha Cha would do great with another small, calm dog and would probably be happy as an only dog if someone is home to keep her company. There are no cats in her foster home, but Cha Cha doesn't seem to pay attention to any of the neighborhood cats she sees on her walks.

Cha Cha is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. If you are looking for a calm, sweet, loving and loyal best friend, Cha Cha is the girl for you!
