Mila Fox Terrier & Border Collie Mix Cincinnati, OH

Mila is an owner surrender to STAF. Her family was moving and they weren't able to take Mila with them.

Mila is an extremely friendly girl and loves to spend time with us humans. She is house and crate trained. Turns out that Mila is an excellent house guest. She doesn't chew or get in to anything. She knows how to stay out of trouble. She is very calm indoors. She loves her walks and can keep pace for about hour. She is very smart and only needs to be redirected a few times when barking. She can sit, lay down and shake. She is great in the car and will lay in the back seat. Completely house broken. Then at the end of the day she is content to sleep in her crate (but she much prefers the bed).

Mila seems to be picky with her dog friends. She is vocal when meeting them. We have often found that the confidence a dog's pack leader has travel down the leash and in to the dog. Mila will need a pack leader that will teach her the proper way to meet and interact with other dogs. She's a smart cookie. She'll figure it out.

Mila's estimated birth date is February 2012.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
You must complete an application at the shelter prior to meeting any of our animals. (Sorry--our application is not available on-line or via email.)
We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
We require a fenced yard (sorry--no invisible fences) for homes with children under age 13.
We do request vet and personal references.
At this time, we are only able to consider applicants within 150 miles of Cincinnati.
