I am one lucky dog. I wouldn’t be here if JRTRO hadn’t stepped in to foster me! I’m only 7-years-old and my foster mom said I am such a wonderful little boy that she can’t figure out how I ended up in a shelter. I have to tell you, I have such a zest for life and I love people so much that I’m relieved to still be here to see more adventures! I might look a little big in my photos, but I really only weigh 16 lbs!

When my foster mom and I go for walks I love to visit with people that we meet along the way. I am very gentle and I’ll give you licks and in return I hope that you give me a nice rub. People seem to really like it, so I’m going to keep on making them happy! I walk very nicely beside you on my leash and I am also very good in the car. Wherever my foster mom takes me I am on my best behaviour and I wait patiently by her side. People marvel at how calm I am (sometimes they say I am better behaved than most children hee hee)

If you like to run or ride a bike then we should definitely hook up. I can keep up and love to do it. I also like to jump up into the air and catch treats! Want me to sit nicely for a treat? Done, just be sure to remind me to be gentle because … well, it’s just so exciting to see a treat coming and I DO love treats! I just need a reminder and then I am good.

I have created my own special greeting for when you come home. I call it the chatty worm. I squirm along the floor on my belly chattering away to welcome you home! It makes my foster mom laugh out loud and that makes me happy, she thinks I am a very special boy.

I’m hoping for a home where someone will play with me at least a couple of times a day. I like to run after a toy or ball when you throw it and then the game is afoot! Catch me if you can, and then I will finally drop it and we can start all over again, woot woot! But when it’s time to settle down I’ll lie at your feet or curl up in your lap. I want to be your shadow!

Right now I get to sleep with my foster mom’s teenage son! It's yummy to jump up on his bed and snuggle right under the cover with him – sometimes though, I just curl up with my foster mom and her dogs. (sigh) Life is good.

My wish list is simple: someone to totally love and play with me; a fenced yard for me to run around; lots of walks (runs or bike rides are on my list too but not must haves); car rides; PLUS lots of people to say hi to and share the love. Oh and just so you know… I am fully house trained and very good while you’re out. That’s something that people over look when looking for a dog, we older dogs are just that much easier to care for!?
