Meet Lavender
ADOPTED DECEMBER 2014
Lavender was an owner surrender to one of our partner county shelters. No reason given so we have started to create Lavender's history for her.
Lavender is a good representative for young dogs everywhere. She has a fun loving spirit and energy to match. She also has quite the beautiful smile. after coming to STAF she soon learned that she was safe and since then her happy go-lucky personality has really emerged. She is very affectionate and loves to come up to you to say hello. She is a wonderful playmate with other dogs and has many doggy friends at STAF. She's even been paired with a few of our not so sure I like other dog dogs and she's converted them. She also loves kids, mainly because they have the same play style.
Volunteers who have joined Lavender's fan club have been taking her to obedience training. She's learning quickly and she loves her outings.
Lavender is well balanced, social, happy, active, curious and smart. We would bet there isn't anything that she can't learn to do.
Lavender's estimated birth date is July 2013. Corgie/Pointer you say? Sometimes it's a best guess on our part. One day Lavender was in the yard and she lifted her front paw, as dogs do when pointing something out. We went with it. She's on the smaller side of medium, around 35 pounds.
Please see our homepage for visiting hours and adoption details.
All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
You must complete an application at the shelter prior to meeting any of our animals. (Sorry--our application is not available on-line or via email.)
We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
We require a fenced yard (sorry--no invisible fences) for homes with children under age 13.
We do request vet and personal references.
At this time, we are only able to consider applicants within 150 miles of Cincinnati.
Can’t adopt but want to help? You can make a difference! Our shelter is run entirely on volunteer-power and generous donations from animal-lovers like you. 100% of your contribution goes directly to caring for our 500+ furry residents. Thank you for your support.
