Nermal has become a superstar of sorts among the shelter staff and volunteers. He can often be found sitting on top of his igloo in kennel number one, surveying the grounds and keeping a close watch on all the action on the office porch. And he has had the chance to WOW the public recently with his memorable appearance at the Grateful Dog Festival, mingling easily with folks and dogs young and old and happily accepting his share of hugs and pets. This wiggly, playful pocket-sized guy possesses an infectiously fun and happy personality and he wants to share his joy with everyone. And if he doesn't have a playmate Nermal will happily pick up the nearest toy and entertain himself. On our walk today Nermal greeted dogs, humans, and even cats cheerfully.
