Meet Atticus
“I wanted you to see what real courage is… It's when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do.” - Atticus Finch (To Kill A Mockingbird)
Want to see what real courage is? Meet Atticus.
Atticus is one of those rare winners. Friends For Life answered the call to rescue this declawed senior after he was found wandering the streets and ended up in a high-kill shelter. Atticus can’t tell us how he ended up there. But here’s what we know. Just like the great Atticus Finch:
- He bestows great affection and unconditional love upon those he sees as friends and family.
- He is wise. He knows he’s been rescued and given another chance, and he shows his gratitude with every hug and head-butt.
- He treats everyone with equal respect. All species are potential friends in Atticus’ eyes - dogs, cats, humans young and old. He likes them all.
Being declawed and outdoors did a number on Atticus’ paws and tummy. He requires a soft litter and a special diet to help encourage good litterbox habits and good gastro-intestinal health. (ask adoptions staff for details)
Do you need a pillar of moral courage in your life, a true and loyal friend (but one that snuggles too)?
Look no further than Atticus!
