IN A COZY FOSTER HOME: BBBR Foster Parents Kathy and Joe picked Lucky up from North Star Kennels in Meridian and took him home to foster. Kathy says: We are the lucky ones! What a nice boy. He walked into the house and completely ignored the kitties. Which, of course, caused them to be curious about him.

The dog intro went great. He is VERY hefty and was completely worn out by the time we were done. So good food and exercise are in his future. He is not particularly good on the leash and pulls a lot, but walks in the morning and evening should get him fit and better on the leash.

If there was one thing.....he is a drool monster! OMG, we have to have drool rags for him. And the area around the water dish? A swimming pool! LOL It is a small price to pay to have such a nice guy in house.

SAFE AT NORTH STAR BOARDING IN MERIDIAN: The North Star staff report Lucky is a VERY NICE BOY! Lucky arrived yesterday from the Emmett Shelter. Thanks to Anita of PALS for transporting him from the Weiser Impound when he ran out of time to the Emmett Shelter and thank you to Pals for housing him until the rescue could locate a placement. AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER OR ADOPTION: This happy-go-lucky guy is LUCKY! He is a 2 year old Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier mix now at the Emmett Shelter. He ran out of time at the Weiser Impound and thanks to Anita, he is safe today. Lucky has a beautiful brown coat with a black muzzle, and weighs approximately 70 pounds. The shelter reports that Lucky loves to meet new people and gets very excited and wiggly when doing so! And he also has done well with other dogs. Since Lucky is such an exuberant guy, he will need a family that will enjoy teaching him how to contain his excitement a bit, so a home with older children is recommended.
