OLY Border Collie Nampa, ID

This handsome 7 year old neutered male border collie is seeking a new home. He came into a local shelter as a stray. His owners were located and notified, but they never came to get him. It's their loss!

Oly is not only handsome, he is a perfect gentleman in the house. In fact his foster mom says he has "immaculate house manners".

He gets along well with all other dogs...even cranky ones! His previous owner said he is not good with cats.

He is very friendly and gracious to strangers, and is great with children ages 6 years and up.

Oly likes to ride in the car. He recently went on a weekend road trip with his foster mom and is said to be a good traveler. He knows how to take care of business while on leash!

Since coming into foster care, Oly is now crate trained. He does pull while on leash, so will need a little work there. He does not appear to be sound sensitive, meaning he is not afraid of loud noises or thunder. Another plus with this boy is that he is not a barker...a generally quiet dog.

Currently Oly is a little over weight and his foster mom is working to get the extra pounds off of him. His goal weight is 45 to 50 pounds. His tail has been docked and if he had any dew claws, they were removed.

You must have a fenced yard to adopt Oly. Since he came into the shelter as a stray we want to make sure he doesn't end up that way again.
