Breed Estimate: Terrier mix
Gender: Female
Approximate weight: Still growing
Approximate age: 10-1/2 weeks old
Location: Foster home in Stafford, VA
Cratetrained: No
Coat Type: Wiry-some brushing needed
Romy and her sister, Michele, are adorable puppies. They were given up to a rural high-kill shelter in SC because their owner had too many dogs. Romy is very social and loving. Since she is such a lover, Romy likes cuddle time. Some of her favorite activities are being outside, running, and playing. Romy is a cutie pie who would like to find someone special.
She is at a great age to bond with a person or family. This is a smart little girl who should be easily trainable. Romy needs to start puppy training, so her adopter must have the time and patience to care for an active puppy.
Can she come to live with you forever? She will repay you by being your playmate, companion, and best friend for life. Please apply to adopt Romy today.
The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many!
Be sure to ask us about getting a free 30-minute phone consult with a professional dog trainer within the first 30 days of adopting - just for HT adopters. Start your new dog out on the right foot with this valuable, expert advice and guidance FREE!

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out information about fostering on our website at http://www.homewardtrails.org/foster-a-pet/pet-foster-forms/.
